VANCOUVER, B.C. - The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Wyman to the Board of Directors of the Corporation. Mr. Wyman has over 30 years of oil and gas industry related experience. During his career, Mr. Wyman worked in both operational and capital market related positions in the Canadian oil and gas industry. He began his career as a reservoir engineer with Esso Resources Canada Ltd. in Calgary before becoming a corporate finance associate with Wood Gundy in London. Mr. Wyman returned to Canada to work as an analyst in the Corporate Finance and Treasury department of Gulf Canada Limited in Calgary and Toronto and later became an oil and gas equities research analyst with Peters & Co. Ltd. in Calgary. Following his tenure at Peters & Co., Mr. Wyman became a founding shareholder and director of Smart Pipeline Services Ltd. and Northern Cross (Yukon) Ltd. in Calgary. He returned to a capital market role as a Vice President and Senior Oil and Gas Analyst with Canaccord Genuity as part of Canaccord's re-branding process in 2004. He has recently returned to work directly in the oil and gas industry as an officer and director of Northern Cross, an emerging junior oil and gas company focused on exploring for and developing petroleum and natural gas resources in the Yukon.

Mr. Wyman received a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering (Hons) from Queen's University in Kingston in 1978 and a Masters of Business Administration from the International Management Institute, University of Geneva in 1985.

The Company also announces the resignation of Charles E. Ross from its board of directors and thanks him for his many years of service.
